About Us
- I’ve had a passion for photography for as long as I can remember and started my professional photography career in the mid-90’s doing wedding and portrait photography in partnership with my wife, Sherry
- We love animals and the people that love them – there is something truly special about animal lovers – whether a volunteer for an animal rescue, a service dog trainer or someone who’s best friend just happens to have four legs
- Now we are bringing that lifelong pursuit of photography, a passion for fine art and a love of animals to the world of pet portraiture
Photographic Philosophy
- In every session, we seek to capture that special shot; that subtle tilt of the head or lift of an ear that every pet owner recognizes as "the look"
- We merge the best of current photographic techniques with 18th and 19th century classical portraiture styling resulting in a timeless heirloom quality portrait
Pre-Session Planning
- We will discuss the session with you before the appointment to ensure the best experience for both you and your pet
- Together, we determine the best combination of props, color, and style to highlight your pet’s breed and personality
- Then, we create an individualized plan for the session leaving room for the serendipity that is inevitable with animals
The Session
- The day of the session we’ll take the time we need to get everyone comfortable – we don’t rush it
- Plan for a two-hour session including any necessary breaks – the session may not take the full two hours, but planning for it allows everyone the flexibility to capture the best images possible
- Bring any treats and toys that will get your pet’s attention in addition to any grooming tools that you may need*
*Note: To ensure your pet’s safety we avoid sharing any toys and grooming equipment
